I suggest you ...

Allow using any image in album folder, not just AlbumArt.jpg

Possible implementations:

Auto -- If there is no AlbumArt.jpg in album's folder, then just use whatever image there is (.jpg or .jpeg).

Manual -- When searching for album art (in Pro version), allow a separate search in album folder.

Just FYI, the standard settings for foobar2000 (Preferences > Display > Album Art) are :
        front.jpg
        cover.jpg
        %filename%.jpg
        %album%.jpg
        folder.jpg

These settings can be edited by the user.

That would be cool to have the same in Meridian.

I've always thought that a "standard" name for the CD art is just a "cover.jpg"... Maybe you can let people select what they prefer and separate by commas if they know that there is a mess in their music folders and they don't care about cpu usage.
And an asterisk usage if they don't care at all
        cover.jpg, folder.jpg, cover.*, *.jpg

cover.* is for "jpeg" names or any other - .gif .png if it wont became a problem for codding or app itself

        Thanx for a great app!

Ok, but I would be happy with the manual version I mentioned before. So, when pressing the search button, instead of today's menu item

        - "Look for cover art" (or similar, I'm using Swedish texts)

there could be two menu items:

        - "Look for cover art (in folder)"
        - "Look for cover art (Internet)"

I use for example folder.jpg or folder.png for compatibility with other applications on my pc, maybe an option on preferences to change the pattern of search?

Alright, let me explain. I often download an album from a friend or somewhere on the Internet. Often there's an image in the album's folder. I'd like to be able to show this image, even though it isn't named AlbumArt.jpg.

        Example:
        Cool New Album/00 - Hot Stuff.jpeg
        Cool New Album/01 - First Song.mp3
        ...
        Cool New Album/10 - Over And Out.mp3
